Media Account Manager

Purpose of Job:
The Media Account Manager is responsible for all aspects of media planning for all media (linear & digital) and lead day-to-day client contact. Working with the account team in Vancouver/Toronto, as well as partnering closely with our US team of planners and digital leads.
They provide leadership and maintain a broad level of involvement in all accounts in the group, encouraging the highest quality media product and client satisfaction. They also play an active role coaching, training, and mentoring juniors.
This role would be working on a prestigious, Global account: Airbnb. With large budgets and working closely with the US team the exposure and opportunity for growth are tremendous. Media plans are 360 and include emerging media such as podcast partnerships.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for day to day client engagement, and account management
- Partner with GAD, and AAD to develop and implement multi-level media plans
- Supervise and coach junior staff on the day to day running of the account, ensuring that tasks are completed on time, project status is monitored and client requests are handled in a timely manner
- Ensure financial reporting and budget controls/forecasts are issued accurately and on time.
- Participate in client plan presentations
- Responsible to client for carrying out requests and projects for the group
- Develops media plans and presentations in conjunction with more senior staff
- Works with all internal resources including Investment Team, Finance and Strategy in carrying out the development of their plans and client service requirements and is able to pressure test discipline’s outputs to ensure they meet holistic media plan needs
- Lead and oversee buy brief content and conduct buy brief meetings with internal groups
- Assist with and oversee all media administrative duties including campaign set-up and maintenance, and issue accurate client financial reports i.e. BCRs, with a high degree of accuracy
- Managing client analytics and generating weekly report, with help of all other teams
Skills and Behaviour:
- Experience with full cycle media plan development and planning – high proficiency implementing media plans, with thorough understanding of the media process, using cross-functional teams
- Solid understanding of online and offline planning
- Full familiarity with research tools and planning software programs needed to complete planning tasks at all levels, Comspoint, Vividata
- Resourcefulness, able to tap into company resources across cross functional groups and demonstrate best use of resources
- Able to convincingly and methodically build solutions to client’s problems.
- Strong presentation skills
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and overs direct reports.

Education and Experience:
- 5+ years related work experience
- College or University education preferred
